not a place to live.
There are only three times in any life — the past, the future, and right now.
The choice in which you will live is your call. Nobody else’s! Knowing this, yesterday is a canceled check, tomorrow is a promissory note, and today, right now, is the only cash that we have.
Do the burdens of the past and the anxieties of the future ruin your todays?
I have heard people complaining about the cold weather and how much they hated it. On other occasions, I also have heard some complaints about the fact that these same people got too much sun.
Ever notice that some people are happiest when they have something to complain about so that is mainly what they do? Most want to be happy and comfortable, and this makes some love to complain even more.
Many of them are even happier if they can bring others down into the mental sewer with them, so they just keep adding on until they either bring them down or the other person leaves.
Then, when the other person leaves, it just gives the complainer another “justification” to think that no one likes them and makes them a little more miserable.
Right now, my blood pressure is normal and my pulse rate is 57 BPM, the sun is shining, and Oreo is sound asleep right at my feet. I am writing this so I am having pleasant thoughts about you,
Now is all that I have that is real. Everything else is either past memories, future wishes, or just dreaming. Today and right now are when we build our tomorrows. Think about this.
If now is pleasant or at least manageable, tomorrow’s memories will be much better. If today’s is chaotic, tomorrow’s memories will be the same, at the very least, and traumatic or lethal at the worst.
What kind of memories do you want to have from now on? Only you can choose what kind they will be. That’s right, you can choose what kind of memories you will have.
That does not mean that you may not have problems today but the good memories come, not so much from the trouble itself, but from the way that you dealt with it.
The choice is yours so please choose wisely. If you do, I promise you that your memories will become so much better and, keeping it up, actually become pleasant.
And there is even a bonus to this. Yes, if you choose wisely, your yesterdays will be good, memories that you have today of yesterday will be wonderful and this means that you have great tomorrows to look forward to.
Thank you, God!
