is like the difference between night and day!
“…one of the primary differences between alcoholics and nonalcoholics is that nonalcoholics change their behavior to meet their goals and alcoholics change their goals to meet their behaviors.” ― Alcoholics Anonymous
How’s that for simplicity, huh? Just as simple as the entire AA Program. I didn’t say that it was easy, merely simple. It doesn’t take someone with the mentality of a brain surgeon to understand this program.
What it does take is someone who is sick and tired of being sick and tired.
If you are truly sick and tired of being sick and tired, you are ready for a new way of life. And there is hope because recovery is just an honest desire away.
If you are still enjoying the hangovers, loss of family and friends, loss of jobs, loss of self-respect, and gladly awaiting your next loss, then you have not had enough, yet. Party on and just don’t try to take others with you.
If you have not had enough yet, then you probably are very close to if not at a 3 pronged choice — death, insanity/incarceration, or recovery. It still is not too late because recovery is still one of your choices.
If you do choose recovery, grab it and hang on with both hands because the band is about so stop playing and the dance will be over.
If you don’t choose recovery, your remaining options are death, insanity, or incarceration.
These are facts that are continually being proven in the laboratory of life and death. If you are still capable of making a decision, make it now because later may be too late and tomorrow may never come.
