Spirituality and How to use the Law of Attraction

We all know and use and believe the Physical Law of Gravity. Just as real is the Spiritual Law of Attraction. This law tells us that we get out of life exactly what we put into it. When we look into a mirror on the wall, we see exactly what image we put into it, flaws and all. The mirror of life works exactly the same way. Both mirrors are completely neutral and do not color the reflected image. If, when I look into a  mirror to shave with a scowl on my face, I get back the image of a shaving, scowling face. If I look into the same mirror with a smile on my face, I get back the image of a smiling face.

Now, I may start out the day and stub my toe and say “This is going to be a rotten day.” Guess what? I probably will have a rotten day. Now, if when stubbing my toe, I say “I hope that I am more careful the rest of the day,” I have a much better chance of having a good day. If I look into the mirror of life with anger and resentment, I get back exactly what I put into it, anger and resentment. This is the Law of Attraction in action, for good and bad. The Law is neutral.

The results are amazing when I put love and compassion into my day. I am greeted by more love and compassion for that day then I ever was before. This all boils down to choice. If I didn’t drink or drug today, I can actually choose a direction at every junction that I meet along the way in my day. This makes my life one where I am surrounded by love and leaves me Happy, Joyous, and Free.

How do I do this? I use the shortened version of the 3rd Step regularly. I just say “God Help Me.” Then I just move on. The rest of the day seems to just take care of itself. You can, too, if you are willing to go to any lengths to get it. Just start by acknowledging the fact that there is a Higher Power. Then use this Power that flows through us all in every facet of our lives. What are you going to choose in this day that you did not drink or drug in – misery or freedom? The choice is yours so please choose wisely! Now, go and have a blessed day!
