Spirituality and How does it affect my handling of World Peace, Covid19, and Someone Else’s Sobriety?

How does it work after my detailed preparations for solving the ideal of World Peace, curing Covid19, and someone else’s sobriety. After all, I regularly pay close attention to the often conflicting news accounts and social media, especially since the airwaves and electronic media have interviewed experts including political insiders and Hollywood stars and athletes to figure out just what measures are needed? It doesn’t work if these are the measures that I have been taking. Also, did I pour the alcohol down the throat of the other person or did he do it himself? Remembering the Serenity Prayer, it states that we seek the Serenity to accept the things that we can not change, the Courage to change the things that we can and the Wisdom to know the difference. The wisdom to know the difference is the standout portion of this prayer. Spirituality shows us that the only thing that we can change is ourselves. For the rest of the long list of nagging, staggering problems that we as humankind face, we must have the wisdom to know that, if it is not myself, I can not change it. Therefore, I put my efforts into changing my thoughts and attitudes into something positive so that I can truly be Happy, Joyous, and Free. My last point is that it definitely does work for me. As it states in the 2nd paragraph of How it Works, “If you want what we have and are willing to go to any lengths to get it…” then Come on down! I was so far down that I was entirely willing to go to any lengths to get what others in the Program had. I relatively quickly started getting some serenity in my life. I have continually remained willing to go to any lengths and am paid off by being truly Happy, Joyous, and Free. It is yours, also, for the taking!

  1. I tell you, this past year has been difficult. I found myself struggling to accept everything that has been going on in the world. Recently though, I realize, thanks to you Jim, that I don’t have to necessarily like the way things are and the difficulties we’ve all been faced with, just so long as I can accept that it is what it is and grow from there.

    1. You are a quick learner, Christina. I don’t like many of the things going on around me and the world but, as long as I don’t even try to think that I can change any of it, I can remain Happy, Joyous, and Free. You can, too, and I am very happy for you that you are using this for your advancement. Another of the profits from this is that people close to you also will feel much better.

  2. God grant me the serenity to accept…period !because Acceptance is usually the answer to my problems !!
