Was I the only one who had a problem with religion when coming into the AA Program or any recovery program?
When I began, I had a large problem with religion. I thought that God was always judging and punishing and I never knew about a loving God.
Then, members of AA showed me that it was a spiritual program, not religious. Of course, I thought that they were only playing with words.
When I discovered the true meaning of these terms, my thoughts took a 180.
I hear new members now in AA saying the same thing and can understand their feelings.
This Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 3:00 PM EST our Zoom meeting will feature two guests whose topic will be Spirituality and Religion to answer these and other questions.

And Rev. Stephanie Sorensen, Pastor of the Life Enrichment Center in Flint Twp., MI, formerly Pastor at Spiritual Centers in Oahu, HI, and Ventura, CA.
