To lead a better life full of happiness, joy, and freedom!
Divine Inspiration is what pretty much defines my day, any more.
Webster defines inspiration as “A divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation. The action or power of moving the intellect or emotions. Or the act of influencing or suggesting opinions.”
A divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation.
I have so much to be grateful for that I sometimes feel that I am a Blessing Magnet. I many times, it seems like blessings are chasing me around,d tapping me on the shoulder and saying,g “Take me, take me.”
And I pray that others will be able to use this to discover for themselves that they can change their thinking and then change their lives. It really is quite simple, although calling for some work.
While walking Oreo the Wonder Greyhound recently, I heard the birds singing away with their songs and messages of Inspiration,n and this led me to think about some of the other inspirational music I have heard.
From Travis Tritt’s “It’s a Great Day to be Alive” to the Edwin Hawkins Singers’ “Oh Happy Day!” These two songs are what I play almost every day on my Echo Dot when preparing these articles. What are yours?
I also get Inspiration from listening to the attendees of our Zoom AA meeting when they discuss the ups and downs in their lives.
I am inspired by everything and everyone around me, either to make myself better or to try to learn tolerance.
I‘ve been blessed having received Divine Inspiration from sources too numerous to count. This has allowed me to do so much in my short human experience. I choose to follow these inspirations wherever they may lead.
Divine Inspiration comes both when consulting with my spiritual advisor and when talking with the homeless coming into the St. Andrews Soup Kitchen on Flint’s East Sid,e plus all who I meet between.
Since becoming sober, I‘ve been introduced to spirituality. Then, after faking it till making it and loving the results, I wanted what every addict wants from something that makes him feel better. More!
I believe that it was Divine Inspiration that led me to Emmet Fox in the 1970s. I have probably read everything that Mr. Fox has written, both in his books and essays.
From there, I moved to Ernest Holmes and his Science of Mind. From there,e I met my present Spiritual Advisor, Reverend Stephanie Sorensen, who embodies all that spirituality and New Thought includes and then some.
I have learned that I can get Divine Inspiration from anyone, anything, anywhere, anytime.
I’m inspired by the teachings of Oreo. This pup is a furry bag of muscle and bones that oozes unconditional love. For this, she is a mentor to me, too. A simple treat moves her from happy to ecstatic. Her other name is Love.
One of the things I have learned from studying spirituality is that I am a spiritual being living in a spiritual universe that is governed by spiritual law.
As a Divine being, this means that I am an individualized expression of God and one with all that exists. This is a Divine Inspiration to me.
This means that the first two words of The Lord’s Prayer, “Our Father,” mean exactly what they say. So, if He is OUR Father, that makes us very much spiritually relate,d and this is, in itself, so Divinely inspiring.
This is why the definition cited earlier, “A divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation,n” strikes home with me now.
I say “God, help me” regularly every day, but the latest big example of His Diving Inspiration and guidance just came recently. My personal physician and a surgeon had advised me that I needed to have a knee replaced.
Here came, “God, help me.” Then, instead of directing Him in what I wanted and didn’t want, I got out of His way and went on with my life and let Him work and help me.
I told the doctors that I was going to seek alternatives. First, I saw a friend who is a chiropractor who worked some of her wonders on the knee, and the pain all but disappeared. The “Thank you, Gods” were starting now.
Then, I had several weeks of PT to rebuild leg muscles that had weakened during my weeks of discomfort,t and they did start to improve. Then I slipped on the ice, falling and breaking the ankle of the same leg.
The ankle was placed in a walking cast or boot and has improved a lot. I returned to the surgeon,n and he is now not talking about knee replacement and, in fact, has given me a regimen to strengthen it all.
Now, that sounds and feels like Divine Intervention and Inspiration to me.
I don’t profess to know everything about Divine Inspiration! There is so much more that I wish to learn. What I do say I,s, please keep sharing with me so that I can continue to learn and grow.
For this Inspiration that you give me by just being near, I am eternally grateful and thus continue to be Divinely inspired through you.
You, too,o can join in the excitement by just REALLY WORKING YOUR PROGRAM 24/7/365. The Program is a Divine inspiration to me and millions of others. Why not you, too? What could be simpler?
Just start your day by saying the shortened version of the 3rd Step, “God, help me,” and then JUST DO IT! Not always easy, but so very much worth it in genuine peace of mind.
So, to answer the thought put forward in the topic, I obtain Divine inspiration b, first saying the shortened version of the 3rd Step, “God, help me,” and then getting out of His way and letting it flow.
Thank you, God!
